What to See and Do in Dorrigo
Situated on the magnificent Waterfall Way,
which is voted amongst the top ten drives in
Australia, Dorrigo stands as the gateway to
some of the most picturesque scenery in
Australia.
The Waterfall Way links Armidale in the west
on the New England Highway through
Dorrigo to Urunga in the east on the beach
and the Pacific Highway.
The name Waterfall Way indicates the
number of spectacular and different
waterfalls along the drive. Ebor Falls is
38km west of Dorrigo, and Dangar Falls,
just two kilometres from the hotel, is an
easy 20 minute walk. In summer, a swim
in the crystal clear water of the Bielsdown
River at Dangar Falls is recommended.
The local arts and craft shops where that
unique gift can be found, are within 50
metres of Heritage Hotel Motel Dorrigo.
National Parks
There are 12 National Parks within a 45 minute drive of Dorrigo.
The most visited is World Heritage Dorrigo National Park, with over 170,000 visitors a
year. The park is 5km from Heritage Hotel
Motel Dorrigo.
The amazing Sky Walk in the National park
extends over the rain forest canopy and
provides views of the rain forest from the tree
tops and views to the Pacific Ocean some
45km away. Wheel chair access to the Sky
Walk and the Walk with the Birds is possible.
Visit the Crystal Falls and experience the thrill of walking underneath and at the back
of the veil of water.
The park walks range from 20 minutes to 6 hours.

The hotel’s facilities include:
-
a family pool table
- wide screen TV ideal for watching
sport

Testimonial
"I just wanted to write to you and thank you for the great time we had whilst staying with you on Friday the 17th. My self and 5 others rode up from Cessnock on our bikes and stayed in your motel units. The night we had in the bar was fantastic and we met some great people. Special mention has to go to the ready reserve fire & rescue guys. Brett & Richard made us feel very welcome. We also took our fair share of the raffle winnings as well. We will certainly recommend your establishment to our friends and have already started planning another trip to your region for next summer. Again, thank you and look forward to seeing you again."
