There are many fantastic things to do in and around Dorrigo. We suggest...

• Visit the interpretive centre and sky walk at World Heritage Dorrigo National Park. Coorindate your visit with a ranger guided tour
• Bushwalk in one of the fourteen National Parks within 45 Minutes drive of Dorrigo.
• Picnic at Platypus Flat - by the banks of the Nymboida River amongst the tall trees of the Nymboi - Binderay National Park. A swimming hole is available.
• Trout fish in local streams
• Play tennis or bowls
• Play golf at Dorrigo (golf clubs for hire), Bellingen, Urunga or Bonville International Golf Course
• Coordinate your visit with a ranger guided tour
• Take the kids to the skate board park or community swimming pool
• Visit Dangar Falls 1 kilometer from town
• Drive the beautiful Waterfall Way to Ebor visiting the falls and trout hatchery
• Go canoeing on the Bellinger River or white water rafting on the Nymboida River
• Visit the local Art Galleries and Craft Shops
• Go Go Karting at Raleigh International Raceway
• 4 wheel driving through the myriad of state forests
• Meet the giants of the forest at Norman Jolly Reserve
• Read a book in the sun on the hotel verandah
• Take art classes with Jenny Macnaughton
• View  and photograph the line of stream trains dating back to 1877 with exhibits ranging from 1855 at the Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum
• Dorrigo markets are held on the first Saturday morning each month at the Dorrigo Showground

Dorrigo Steam Railway & Museum

The Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum Limited is home to the largest collection of preserved railway vehicles and memorabilia from the various Government and private railways of New South Wales. It is one of the most comprehensive railway collections in the world, with exhibits ranging from 1855 to the present day. More>>

Dorrigo Skywalk & World Heritage National Park

Dorrigo National Park offers magnificent views of the Bellinger Valley from the popular Skywalk, and canopy level views of rainforest birds from a raised boardwalk. The park's tracks are in excellent condition and walkers can choose from short level walks to more challenging walks.

Spend time at the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre with its rainforest interpretive displays and souvenir shop.

Bellingen's Market

Bellingen's Community Markets

Started in 1980 with approximately 30 stalls, Bellingen's Community Markets are now one of the largest regional markets in Australia with 250 exciting diverse stalls.

Live entertainment can be found at the sound shell. Coffee and cake is available from 2 or 3 open-air cafes. More >>

National Parks

Heritage Hotel Motel Dorrigo, situated on Waterfall Way, is close to twelve National Parks. A short 3 min drive east takes you to the Skywalk at Dorrigo National Park. Or a 3/4 hour drive takes you to Cathedral Rocks's intriguing stacks of granite bolders or the spectacular 50km views to the coast from Point Look Out in the New England National Park.
